Scent Work - Start Sniffing    

For dogs with no prior scent work experience.

This foundational course teaches dogs to use their natural olfactory instincts to locate food or toys. Dogs begin by searching boxes and gradually progress to environmental objects across varied locations. This builds confidence and motivation to hunt—preparing them for the next stage: Sniffing Odour 1.

Scent Work - Sniffing Odour 1

Prerequisite: Start Sniffing

This course introduces your dog to their first target odour—Birch. It reinforces the concept that “odour pays,” boosting your dog’s confidence and drive. Dogs learn to search with purpose and begin transitioning toward more advanced scent work in Sniffing Odours 2.

 

Scent Work - Sniffing Odours 2

Prerequisite: Sniffing Odour 1

Your dog will be introduced to three additional odours, expanding their scent vocabulary and search capabilities. This course deepens their confidence and introduces more complex search scenarios, laying the groundwork for advanced skills.

Scent Work - Keeping on Sniffing        

Advanced progression for experienced teams.

These ongoing classes focus on refining technique and introducing new search strategies. Handlers learn advanced scent work skills, including search planning, handling distractions, and interpreting subtle dog cues for successful searches.

 

Scent Work - Private Classes

Tailored sessions for specific goals or challenges.

Ideal for dogs or handlers with unique training needs, competition preparation, or behavioural considerations, or handles that prefer private classes. These one-on-one sessions are customized to help you and your dog achieve your scent work objectives.
